Room 8 is A Space to promote and help establish the emerging creative talent of Bristol. A Space to develop concepts, to evolve Art practice and promote business ideas in the creative field. The Room 8 Gallery & Pop Up Shop is housed in The Island (Artspace Lifespace C.I.C) The Island is a multi use arts facility and creation center in the old police station in Bristol city centre. It hosts a wide variety of creative spaces from circus training, dance and rehearsal rooms, making spaces and artists studios to dark rooms, recording studios, a gallery , sound production studios and a suite of early 20th century police cells. The Island is part of Artspace Lifespace Project, an artist led initiative that recycles vacant, under-used and problem properties into thriving active creative resources. Hire rates are £65 for the weekend £130 for the week
