Earliest records show a market existed in the vicinity of marketplace In 1469. By the 18th century the market was so popular two market halls were built by the corporation to reduce crowding. What is now Trinity Market was the second of these market halls. Built in 1904. In 2017 the market underwent an extensive and yet sympathetic refurbishment to create the open, spacious market hall, event space and atrium we enjoy today.
